“If we did all the things we were capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.” Thomas Edison

As I continued to learn and lead I found to my surprise that my worldview changed as I grew and with it my leadership effectiveness. I gave myself the gift of doing a doctorate degree in leadership and change. My research and a major part of my course work focused on the potential for business leaders to develop into the Alchemist and the Magician. Yes it was possible and I knew how to help others achieve this. Many were on this journey- research showed as many as 20 % of the population was on a similar journey. I was given my renewed calling and I could serve others on their journey!

Sydney has worked with Entrepreneurial leaders for over 15 years helping them turn their dreams into reality. Working in the Academic world, Sydney has created full degree programs in business and has the technical and analytical skills plus the training in emotional development to bring out the best in her clients.

Sydney has been a leader in adult education for the past 25 years. She got into Coaching when she and a team from the British Columbia Institute of Technology developed a Competency-Based Management degree to be delivered through the Coaching process. Since that time Coaching has become a major tool in her work and in her teaching.

In her coaching Sydney is the one who holds her clients accountable for change. For those who spend too much time dreaming about the life they want she provides the pathway to change and actuation.

In The Power of Habit, the author, C. Duhigg found that behaviour patterns rather than conscious thought govern up to 95% of one’s daily activities. This means that 95% of the time we are not present in the day. If my mind is elsewhere-into the past or into the future I am not present!
Sydney teaches her clients about the mind-body connection and the power of mindfulness in reaching their life goals. She utilizes the power of your mind in creating a healthy body, a healthy outlook on life and a healthy organization.

“To teach how to live without certainty and yet without being paralysed by hesitation is perhaps the chief thing that philosophy, in our age, can do for those who study it.” Bertrand Russell

Resilience, persistence and enthusiasm. Alex embodies these traits in pursuit of her passion for communication in its many forms. As a life artist, painter, writer, poet and academician she brings the creative side of her clients and students into full bloom. The interface between the inner world of imagination and outer world of reality is the source of our creativity and Alex uses it to the fullest. Alex works with her clients by tapping into their inner creative selves. Using bibliotherapy and journaling, finding that inner voice and expressing it Alex helps open that closet door and let out the inner inchoate thoughts that have been floating around unvoiced for years but still needing their freedom. Alex is a Fulbright Scholar and works with students in an international setting helping them to bring their thoughts and ideas out into full bloom. She teaches composition and literature, research methods and communications. As a journalist and author Alex asks the questions: What is driving me here? Where is my energy coming from? If inspiration fails what are the root causes of hesitation? Creativity at times can be as easy as breathing leading to abundance, yet other times it requires commitment and the assistance for friends and experts to bring it forth.
